The Christian Medical College (CMC) held a torch rally in Vellore on Saturday to celebrate 125 years of dedicated service to the nation. The event featured a group of 125 volunteers, including hospital staff and students, who participated in the rally through the town.

Annie Kamala Florence, the principal of Voorhees College, had the honor of lighting the torch. The torch was then passed to Vikram Mathews, the director of CMC, who lit the cauldron in a ceremony attended by Ebby George Simon, the associate director, and I. Rajesh, the medical superintendent of CMC.
