Kasim Khan and Sulaiman Isa Khan, the sons of former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan, have expressed their deep concerns regarding their father’s well-being as he remains imprisoned in Adiala Jail. Since August 2023, Imran Khan has been facing multiple corruption charges, which his supporters claim are politically motivated. The brothers revealed that they have not been able to see or communicate with their father for several months, leading to worries about his physical and mental health.

During an interview with Sky News, Kasim Khan described the conditions of his father’s imprisonment as dire, alleging that Imran Khan is subjected to “psychological torture” in what they refer to as a “death cell.” He mentioned that his father has been in solitary confinement for over two years and is forced to endure unsanitary conditions, including access to filthy water and exposure to inmates suffering from hepatitis. The isolation is reportedly so severe that even prison guards are restricted from interacting with him.

Sulaiman Khan added that their father spends nearly 23 hours a day confined to his cell, which he characterized as lacking basic human rights and not meeting international legal standards for prisoners. The brothers’ statements have heightened concerns about Imran Khan’s treatment in custody, as they fear that the worsening conditions may prevent them from ever seeing him again.
